Conextion RL250-i in Wall Speakers

I recently purchase 2 x sets of these speakers new off eBay. I believe Conextion don't exist as a company anymore, and these speakers are no longer madebut are owned by Triad.

That being said. I unboxed the speakers and found two of the small plastic sliding lock mechanisms that secure the internals to the frame are broken. Pic attached

Does anyone know who I could contact in the US to get some replacements as I am in Melbourne Australia, so no local support unfortunately.

I can find virtually no information on that company.

This is all I can find.

So, if TRIAD did buy them, I suspect they bought them for "shirt buttons" and closed them down.

Can you post pictures showing the purpose of that lock mechanism and how it works? Hopefully it will be a common fastener and not unique to those speakers. If it is unique to those speakers, I suspect you are out of luck and will have to creatively improvise.

Seriously, I have no life.

Contact Ebay and get a refund- if they were badly packed, that's on the seller, not the buyer.

Owned and 'supported by' are two different things.

As a last resort you might look for someone in your area that owns a 3D printer and is willing to do small jobs. I've been tempted to buy one just to be able to reproduce stuff like this.

Being in Australia make it so much more difficult to find parts. I would imagine, that the mechanism that locks the innards to the frame is pretty common........but who knows what subtle differences there are between manufacturers

If the innards have come out then you could not just replace those clips, or whatever they are any way. You would need factory jigs to repair those speakers, as the VC has to be precisely centered in the magnetic cap. If you don't have the jigs, then then there will be gap rub and the speakers will just buzz. From what you say those speakers are now a total loss and recycling jobs.

You have posted no pictures of the drivers, so there has not been a whole lot of information in your posts.

A close up picture of one of the unbroken clips in place might help. If it is just a clip, I imagine you should be able to jury-rig something without affecting performance.

He says the innards are out, and I'm afraid that may mean the VCs are out. If those clips were keeping the magnet and pole piece in place, those speakers are bereft of life and off their mortal coils!

So we need a picture of these units as they are now.

I don't think that the op is talking about the VCs. I think the "internals" are the drivers which are secured to the mounting frame with clips. If that's the case, something could be fashioned out of metal.

If that is all he is worried about, that is easily fixed. We need pictures to see what the actual problem is.

All the electrical innards are fine. Its simply some small plastic blocks and a mating small plastic 90 degree angle held in by a screw. The reason I haven't posted any pics is that there seems to be a size limit and they have been rejected

Without those pictures we can't help you. Just downsize the digital footprint.

But I think you are going to have to improvise and be creative. Just stop looking for that part and fashion something else.

You can resize the photos to meet the file size standards here. If using a windows pc, just right click on the file name and go to edit, and use the resize feature in the Paint program (try 30 percent )

Since the speakers are now owned by Triad, you could try contacting Triad customer support in the US to see if they can provide you with replacement parts. They may also be able to direct you to an authorized service center or dealer in Australia who can assist you. It's worth noting that if the speakers are brand new and the broken parts were a result of shipping, you may also want to contact the eBay seller to see if they can assist you with getting replacement parts or possibly even a replacement set of speakers.

He did, TRIAD don't want to hear about it. It was a buy and close purchase.
