No it was D.A. Vance you idiot.
You wrote A.G. in that post of yours that I replied to, moron.

The Trump lawyer Cohen was convicted for a federal crime at the behest of Trump that he is most likely charged with at state level. Now you can attempt to connect the dots, if you can.

I could try give you some links for your information, but that is just a waste of time taken previous attempts by several members over several topics.

And you don’t have to tell how many times I’ve edited my post either. What a weak argument.

Sorry DA Vance. It's still the ~ same set of charges that a liberal leaning office chose not to persue to the difficulties. Others, on both sides, are saying it's pretty weak.

You are still missing the narrative: If Trump had never entered the political sphere NONE of this would be happening. I'm more concerned about the rail-roading and the reasons as to why.

How many bank execs in 2008 went to jail?

As I wrote in another post I’ve no opinion on how weak or strong the case is, and the charges as well as evidence is not yet public.

You fail to understand that if Trump hadn’t entered as the Republican candidate for US President there would not have been any campaign finance law violations in the first place. He could then pay off porn stars to his everlasting delight.

D.A. Vance declined to do any of this due to the fact he had weak evidence. So we shall see. They are alleged campaign finance violations by the way.

And while you roll eyes at the 2008 crisis and the aftermath you make my point. How many people did Trump financially ruin?

My issue is the zeal and $$, time after time after time, they are going after him and I would have liked that amount of concern for the average citizen when it came to 2008.

Government has their head so far up their ass...

Unless he wrote it off as a business deduction and IRS or state tax authority got wind of it.
Or, he would never have had to pay that in the first place.

Most likely it is much more than campaign violation as his deductions of this as a business deduction and tax consequences, but we will see when the charges are revealed with the evidence.

I am glad that he was indicted, and i hope he is also indicted for other cases he is being investigated for. We need to allow any government official to be criminally prosecuted just like other Countries do. Law is supposed to be the same for all, and should have the same punishments for the same crimes...not a special treatment for the rich, powerful, and upper government employees.

If any of us was to take classified docs home...we would be in jail soon afterwards.

Interesting how this case is compared to banana republic behavior by some and not to other democracies where they have indicted and imprisoned presidents/heads of states: South Korea, Italy, France, Israel, etc.

Apparently in New York falsifying business records like it’s alleged is a misdemeanor but if it’s done to cover up another crime it can be a felony. This is where the Trump indictment is expected to be headed. We’ll know on Tuesday when the indictment is unsealed.

I think they don't have enough evidence. Trump said his hush payment was to keep Stormi from lying. 1-6 = well I don't know anything about it. I never said storm the capitol. Gov't documents? I didn't know the laws. Nobody briefed me on what they were. I was hiding them from the deep state. I returned them all intact, didn't I??? Stop the Steal = I believed it was really stolen.
I do not think I did not know will be enough to get him out of creating a insurrection, or having classified documents at his residence...especially since it has recently come out that he had one of his aides upload them all to the cloud prior to the raid, and then download them again after the raid.

The money in Politics is the big problem.
Obviously drumphy saw a good grift opportunity, especially with manipulation of the media to help out. That silly show The Apprentice told you enough how incompetent he actually was, if you were paying attention. This is the guy who took out an ad in the newspaper railing for the death penalty for the central park 5, and even upon their exoneration he still said "they must be guilty of something". Let's put that on drumphy now, he's certainly guilty of a litany of things (it's almost like he tells you about himself when railing against others....)

Since the actual charges have not been revealed, how can anyone "on both sides" say anything about the strength of what the evidence may show?

Whether or not Trump would have been charged had he not ran for office is dubious at best.

Was Trump a bank CEx in 2008? IF not, what relevance does the question have?

For starters this has been tried, and failed, before.

If you seriously believe that if Trump hadn't waded into politics that he would still be in this same spot he now finds himself, that I find dubious at best.

I didn't say Trump was a bank C level exec in 2008. Re-read what I typed in the post a bit further down:

"2008 crisis and the aftermath you make my point. How many people did Trump financially ruin? "

If you can't see the incongruity...

Trump has been involved in more cases that nay human in existence and has been proven to be screwing NY taxpayers for years. Frankly, RICO charges were warranted against Trump Inc.

How many?, far more than you'll ever admit. Trump has always been a fraud. scoundrel and loser his entire life which is why no US bank would lend him a dime.

If our government went after the banks as hard as they are going after Trump... This is where I'm upset.

Again how many people were financially ruined when it come to the 2008 banking meltdown vs Trump.

I get it that the guy is a titanium asshole. I really do... And guess what? Our voting system worked. He's no longer in office. The vote wasn't stolen and neither is it being 'suppressed'.

We've really got bigger fish to fry folks.
