amp help

I just aquired a JBL ASB 6128V dual 18 " sub and 4 JBL AC 28/26 wall speakers and need to amplify and control them , would like help on the proper amont of power and recomendation for good amps and eqiup,

I think those JBL subs are rated for 1600W, so I would say 500-1000W amp should work.

It would appear that these are theater or venue speakers not necessarily aimed at the home market.
The prices reflect that and the spec sheets also put the common usage as large event halls or such.
So my first question, right after budget, is where are you thinking of doing this? In what size room?
That sub was a $4,000 sub as a new purchase so its not a trivial item. Those AC wall mount speakers are also multi thousand dollar items when new as well.

From just a basic power question, one doesn't look at the power rating of a speaker and then get an amp.
One looks at the environmentals of the setup and go from there (how big is the room, what's the distance from speaker to listener etc, and listening sound pressure levels).

Interesting speakers. How may I ask did you come by them? That might also answer a few questions.

Still, some do use pro gear in home theater setups....OP just has provided close to nothing for a lot of considerations, tho.

I recieved them as a payment of debt and figured I may as well see if I can make sweet music, my budget is unknown at this time , I guess I would like to spend around 100 to 1500 for the amps if I can find a good used amp in that range . Amp alone just means power amp, then there are pre-amps to add switching and leveling of different inputs, or adding digital capabilities, etc. How would you plan to stream Amazon for a start? Good pre-amp/crossover gear you might check out miniDSP.com for. Amps I'd look at Buckeye if in US.

Then again that's more my view. Help to know more about your goals/expectations and the room and things you play thru the system, etc. Or whether a single box solution would be desired, etc....

My suggestion is start cheap with a used AVR that has Bluetooth (and if you have or would consider iPhone/iPad and Apple Music for lossless, AirPlay an absolute must). That will also have bass management, and ideally room correction like Audyssey or Dirac. Then some kind of amp for the subs...though somewhere around here one fellow had a multizone AVR and was running his subs off the extra channels. It was all so efficient there was more than enough power. This approach will at least let you hear how the stuff sounds in your house, how much power you might need, and you can decide where to go from there. I'd go with @lovinthehd that miniDSP has a lot of modules, including Dirac room correction, crossovers, time alignment.

That could be another route. He apparently just was given the speakers/sub and is trying to use them. That sub is quite sensitive so for a home situation may not need tons of power....the DCA ad is gone now.
