Blu-ray player question

I finally just made the big decision and purchased the Onkyo TX-RZ50.

For my Blu-ray player I plan to pick up the Sony-UBP-X7000-M. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_158X700M/Sony-UBP-X700-M.html

I also have an 85” QLED Samsung

I Believe I recall watching on one of audioholics YouTube videos that this Sony Blu-ray was a good player for movies. Does anyone recommend one that would be better that is around the same price point, or will this player do a great job? I plan to run 5.1.4 setup

As long as it plays the discs you want it to with the connectivity you need, I wouldn't worry about it. Blu-ray players if not good for movies are useless.

Why do people choose this receiver in particular?

Cheap? Or something else?

A particular panasonic model is labeled the best uhd blu-ray disk player.

I’ve got one. It works great. Responsive menus, easy setup, nice and simple. And not expensive either.
