AV App Control for Yamaha Aventage Series (2020 +)

I upgraded my RX2070 with the RXA6A recently and have been more than satisfied with the performance and features. With the older 2070, I used the Yamaha AV app to control in conjunction with the Yamaha Musiccast app. One particular feature was party mode for essentially turning on all speakers in family room, kitchen and outdoor. I found out that the new RXA6A is not compatible with the older AV app and after contacting Yamaha, was told that the new line will not be compatible nor was any upgrade planned for the app to work with the new line of receivers. So in order to enable party mode (and other features like bass management etc.) I have to use the remote which means physically going to the family room. Previously I could be anywhere in the house or yard and fire up the system and switch to party mode.

Does anyone know of another app that might provide similar connectivity? I have done some searching on internet but found nothing.

Its in the musicast app. Open it up and click on AV at bottom then the sounds setting button on bottom of that screen. Party mode is in there. Think everything from the AV app is there too.

I don’t get a screen with AV at the bottom Just my family room link, I open that and I can select the source material. I have tried all manner of drop downs and settings and I see no way to make any sound adjustments other than the master volume.

So mine is 2060 but I’m using the musicast app. When you go to your Yamaha in the bottom left corner at very bottom. Mine says AV4 (source) I click that. Then next screen on very right bottom there is 3 lines with a dot on each line (like a 3 band eq). Click that and the menu comes up for sound settings. (This is basically all the items that previously were in the AV app)

You can use the online controller. It's much better to use I find anyways. Just input your AVR IP address. It goes like this, 192....../Setup, it will take you to the online web setup. You do have to be connected to the Wi-Fi, won't let you do it with cell phone data. It looks like this,

As mentioned in my original post, the AV worked great with the 2070, but won’t work with the new A6A. It won’t work with the latest Aventage line apparently.
