Need help please out of sync

Hello to all I sure appreciate y'all letting me join I'm having problems with my receiver I have a pioneer elite SC 07 I just got it and I'm trying to hook it up I hooked it up and everything was okay except for I wasn't getting surround sound and my subwoofer wasn't working so I started playing with buttons and I don't know somehow I have got it out of sync can somebody please help me I don't have a microphone to set it up and I was going to ask if at all possible can you set it up with out a microphone I called pioneer and the guy that I got on the phone was completely clueless thank you so much I don't have a hooked up to HDMI it's hooked up with optical from my TV to the receiver

First thing is download the user manual pdf for the avr. Then find the factory/microprocessor reset instructions so you can start with a clean slate. Then set it up just for your needs for your sources/speakers with the instructions for connections/setup in the manual. It should have manual as well as automatic setup instructions. Getting another microphone is a possibility too, but setup with an spl meter (even a phone app) shouldn't be too bad.

LOL they're somewhat more akin to setting up a computer than the older analog only stuff....

You might try some basic articles here on AH in terms of basic setup

As to specifics with sync, not familiar with that particular avr but it may have an hdmi sync setting that is probably the easiest way of addressing that particular point. Again, use the manual, that's what it's for. :)
