I have a Dynamo Subwoofer that I have been using for years without issue and recently it is no longer outputting any sound. When investigating, it seems to be stuck in standby mode but i can't find any information on how to get out of standby... I am trying to use wirelessly as I have since I bought it new and initially set it up, although wired connection didn't help. Any advise? anyone have same issue? And also, where is the fuse on this thing? Do I need to start taking it apart?

Have you tried turning it off? Unplugging it for a minute if the simple power cycle failed?

Next step would be plugging directly in with the LFE cable. Have you tried that?

If there is a fuse, it will be inside on the Plate Amp.

Also, my kids used to play with the switches in the back. Make sure the Crossover Bypass is switched to LFE and Level is at 12 oclock

Can you max out sub trim level in your avr to help "wake" it (if the amp isn't altogether borked of course) ?

OK - got it out of standby mode, but now it seems like my receiver isn't outputting signal...

Good. You need to be a little more clear about what’s going on for us to help you, better.
What got the sub out of standby?
What is your AVR?

when i pulled the subwoofer cable from the back of the AVR it made a pop sound and the subwoofer was no longer in standby. I have tried reconfiguring the subwoofer (and all speakers) several time but still no sound from sub (the AVR - marantz SR5010 sends test tones to each channel)...

This suggests that something, somewhere in the chain, is preventing a strong enough signal from reaching the Sub.
There are a lot of variables.
Too low a signal from the AVR.
too low a signal through the wireless transmitter
A problem with the Sub
A problem with the LFE channel

Those are my quick off-the cuff thoughts.

First, if you pulled the cable while things were powered... DON'T! This is a good way to blow something. Of course, it could have been a happy accident.

Easiest to check is: What is your AVR Sub Trim set at? (Suggested above. :) )
(What happens if you turn up the Sub Trim in the AVR, does that more powerful signal wake up the Sub? You may need to adjust the Sub Gain down.)

Thank you all for your suggestions. So very much appreciated. I have sub setting all the way up on the AVR and the dials on the subwoofer also all the way up. I was trying all this with the sub wired (figured I would remove the possible wireless signal strength). I have a separate set-up in my basement and I am going to try to swap subs to see if there is a different result. At least then I should be able to determine if the sub is the issue or it is in AVR.

Again, so appreciative of you all sharing your thoughts and knowledge...

I'll post back with my learnings later in the week.

Be careful with Sub Gain on the Plate Amp... you don't want to blow something...
Make certain that any Plate Amp Controll for LPF is switched to OFF / BYPASS / or turned up as high as possible (clockwise if a knob).
Also check you AVR crossover from main to Sub. Ideally 80Hz is a good place to have that set... perhaps higher.

Keep us informed!

And today it is working. I hooked it to test on different AVR and when I hooked it up it worked fine. Reconnected to original AVR and seems to be now working just fine. <scratching my head> Thanks again for all the suggestions. Love that this type of group exists.
