Connecting a subwoofer to a stereo system

I am downshifting my 7.1 system to stereo as my amp is kaput. I have had a musical fidelity power amp feeding my fronts for music quality. I have added a Rotel integrated which I'm using as a pre. I would like to connect my powered subwoofer. The power amp has:
"LOOP OUTPUT sockets are directly connected inside the unit to duplicate the line inputs. This is to enable onward connection to another amplifier, for example when used for “bi-amplification"” (quote from MF manual).
Can I connect the sub to these sockets?
Thanks in anticipation.

Yes you can split the output of the loop, one back to the amp and one set to the sub's inputs. All the changes in amp may not work out as well as simply getting better speakers....

Thanks for that. I have Kelly KT3s, so not bad... I had a sub that isn't selling and I wanted to use it. I know there is a debate about whether a sub supports the bass from the main speakers. It has worked so far. I'm listening to the various music I love. I'll let you know how it goes. I have two RCAs from the loops into the sub. Cheers!

I misread a bit at first, thought it was the integrated that had the loop available (think it was the word "loop" that threw me, that's more a feature on an integrated amp to insert eq/power amp....but why get an integrated to act as pre? Already had that around too?). The amp has duplicated the signal in any case. Never heard of Kelly myself, altho a look at some specs they do seem to need subs. I'd prefer some bass management myself (altho your sub may have the typical lpf). Enjoy....

That's supposed to be a like!
No, I bought the integrated because I had the power amp but couldn't afford a good pre. My new set up sounds really good.

I knew 2ch pre amps are getting rarer these days, but didn't realize that it got that bad. Then again I prefer my avrs over my 2ch rigs for pre, they have decent eq and bass management (I have two old analog pre amps still from quite a while ago, tho). What's the power difference between the amp and the integrated's amp?

Thanks for your help and interest. It's going well eg nice bit of atmosphere and bass presence in Kit Downed new piano trio album.
