A YT Review? Did they have ground plane measurements that they did, or was this just some face with a Sub in their room?
I'm just giving this guy some options. Like I said, it was decent for it's price he says. Nothing more.

This is my plan, since I have a setup that currently works. I would just need to know what to look for. It seems certain brands, SVS for example, are something that can do no wrong.

I'm not particularly worried about warranty, since I feel confident I can fix anything myself. There is currently a paradigm ps-1000 for sale for under $200. I'm almost tempted to pull the trigger, and then spend the time looking for another.

That's my 150+ page thread just chock full of nothing but used subwoofer and speaker finds over the last 3 years and I don't think I've ever found what you're looking for within the budget you have. Not anything that's worth it. Stuff in that range tends to be junk.

Just curious, how do you plan to have stereo bass when bass is omnidirectional and not localizable..? If I were you I'd get a single sub for $400, KNOW it's a good sub, take care in setting it up and live with it until you can scratch up enough for another. A well placed single sub can offer great performance and if you don't have a huge room the RSL Speedwoofer is a great little sub with a 45 day free trial.

I'd concentrate on actual performance than brand in general. SVS isn't perfect, and their value proposition has been in decline unless you need their customer support options particularly.

I don't particularly waste time watching videos about audio particularly (as most are worthless), what's the summary? What's the measurements?

Ok, maybe Fried chicken would like to watch. I watched this a long time ago and I remember these were decent for a very, very low price. That's all I know, just giving this guy an option.

I'm not trying to sweat you, Het. ;)
My commentary is on YT'ers that make a video of them listening to gear in their room and saying things like, "This is really great!" It's not really a review so much as people tryna pull a few bucks by starting a YT channel and getting people to watch them. *shrugs
Without seeing measurements, performed by a person that knows how to do it, there is just faith in a stranger.

Ok, I guess we'll let the OP make the decision. Just giving him an idea. Personally in this case I think one good sub is better than dual not so good.

I'd generally prefer duals in my experience. The OP can do what he wants of course, just random video suggestions I don't find particularly helpful

ps I find most audio oriented youtube videos rather poor unless from here, audiosciencereview or erin's audio corner

This is the review I was trying to find. Kspaceguy seems honest. He has good content, pretty knowledgeable. I mean he isn't a measurement guy or anything.

That product is only spec'd to 30Hz, fwiw.
I wouldn't expect anything more for 199.99 and free shipping.
By the way I'm not selling anything. I just saw the thread, saw the price point and remember this review for this sub.

OP wants sub 20hz performance if possible....the 30hz spec from OSD is unclear, could be -6db or even -10db? At what spl? These things matter.....but wouldn't expect a lot at the price of that sub in any case, just looks cheap.

A 20hz sub at 200 each? Might as well be looking for a unicorn. I believe my PB-2000 Pro gets fired that deep but it's a wee bit over 200 bucks.

If OP has access to some tools, he could build some Sonotube Subs using the Dayton HF15"... those are $239 each. 18" SonoTube is pretty cheep. A few other parts... Most expensive part would be getting an Amp to drive them... But I'd say $600 would build 2 subs... And A Behringer NX3000D is under $400.

Yes, out of budget all told, but the result will be some pretty good bass at under $500 per Sub.
