You know exactly what I mean and I never said Trump was a strong leader I said he deserved all the scrutiny he got so we could see if he was one.

I also said every leader in charge every political party should get that same level of scrutiny.

I'm going to play with my new speakers.

If your going to get hung up on the word Trump or constantly make claims of what conservatives like or don't like completely sidestepping my point

Then your choosing to either be intentionally dense or intentionally deflecting. And I know your not dense. Have a good night I'm playing with the system :D
I just get the impression that somehow Biden deserves more scrutiny that the drumph.....who wasn't a leader at all, except of the reality tv type folk. I hope others aren't as stupid at least. He's been a pox nearly his whole life. A royal POS. No redemption possible. Scumbag is a nice description. Doesn't matter if he agrees with your politics temporarily (which it generally will be with someone like that).

Anyways not side stepping anything, just don't see why the sh*thead gets much respect whatsoever.

Not more scrutiny just equal amounts

And who said Trump deserves any respect? :D

This is what you get I guess when you have a 2 party system that gives us as our top 2 choices......

Drum roll please..........

Trump and Biden! Select the best one to change the world!

I'm like sitting there going Fu#$ my life man just fu#$ my life :D

Have a good night

Why does one guy represent a particular strength to you? Sounds like why drumphy admires Putin. Is that why actors/entertainment figures like Reagan, Schwarzenegger and drumphy are so popular with republicans? :) drumph I hope we're not done with, he's so f*cking dirty (even more so than other scumbags like McCarthy or Nixon etc)
Don't think it's to do with actors, etc. It's to do with if their policies are good the country or not. If we're going to label scumbags in DC let's label them all sides. Bush, Clinton, Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, on and on. The main accomplishments being making money in and when they get out of office and screw the common American.

Am not one of those people that hate oxygen because Trump happens to breathe it. Am going to play Devil's advocate. New Yorker's have lived with Trump since the 80s. He is what he has always been a brash, loud mouthed building contractor that will do anything to make a deal and a fighter. He's done good for NY and bad. People forget what a sh*thole NYC was in the 1980s. Before Guiliani, Trump was practically the only guy investing in building NYC back and helped open the doors for its rehabilitation in the 90s.

Being the opportunist that he is, Trump just stepped in front of a movement that has been building since 2008 with the subprime bust and gained momentum after Obama care was rammed down the nation's throat in 2010. The TEA party was the result of that as in Taxed Enough Already and that is certainly the case. That movement still echos in that it hates big corrupt government lead by people who line their pockets and accumulate power while saying they care for the common person. The Media is in bed with them.

If Trump survives the NY AG going after his corporate tax filings the 2024 nomination will be his. This November is important to that decision because he will probably not run if the Repubs don't win Congress. Right now, it's looking like it will be a wave election for Repubs so then the dye will be cast. Half the Dems don't want Biden on the ticket so who will they put up against him?

Unfortunately, we have to play the cards we're dealt.

The devil has never needed an advocate. In my experience when people invoke that clause, they follow that with their actual thoughts. Which, when I think about it, they are entitled to. Let’s not give the devil a bad name.

All too true, but in this time and place the devil doesn't need an advocate. He/she has the corporate media which bombards us with propaganda and does the work to distract and divide us.

I wouldn't give the devil a bad name in total. Some theologians would argue the devil performs his duty by enabling us to have choices to make and open the road to heaven. There might be some truth in that.

Actual thoughts, opinions, ideas, whatever we label them, we should hope to retain the right to express them. Its up to us to reason and make up our own minds. Caveat Emptor.

Ah here we go again. Lets try and draw equals to Trump. You can try but there's no equal to Trump's public behavior. It's like trying to say the left have someone remotely close to the lies of Tucker.

I think the initial inflation predictions were 3-4% under Biden. It's currently at 7.5% The second Biden won office the gas industry raised prices out of concern for the future. I thought it was slowing down the supply & demand of oil for green development that was the key. I'll leave it at that.

Hopefully they will have figured out over there that just about anyone on the right can beat Biden besides Trump.

Seriously, I have no life.
Cali average of $4.71 is low for the Bay Area. It has been around that level for around a year. My two cars are both premium and I'm averaging right around $5, with the highest I've paid being $5.29 but I see it as high as $5.49. Fortunately, my commute was short before and is basically zero now, but still hate to see that. I'd get an electric car but without a commute, there's not a lot of point to that. Our other car is a hybrid so that's what goes on long hauls.

My friends and I discuss this sort of thing a lot, since we all drive cars that like plenty of gas, and we would not be surprised to see $6 for premium as soon as this year. It will be before that point I will be selling one of the STIs. The upside of that is KBB has it at more than I paid for it 6 years ago.
Your cars use premium, but do they require it? If not, and especially if you don't drive them hard, you don't need to use premium.

From the link- "For WRX and BRZ models, the Owner’s Manual states: “The engine is designed to operate using unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher.” However, fuel with an octane rating of 87 or higher can be used in either model with no detriment to engine durability."

Ok, I'll play using your phrasing. Let's try to pretend that other characters on the scene are better than Trump (or Tucker.) Or that those characters have not done more damage this country over the long term than Trump ever could. Is Trump responsible for the Federal Debt, trillions in unfunded liabilities, the transfer of wealth to elites caused by the Fed printing money, the reams of corruption in Washington, allowing Russia to take Crimea and to project into the Mediterranean for the first time since 1973, on and on....... All preceded him. Selective outrage towards Trump just makes it easier for the others to operate in the shadows and conduct their business.

Agree there is no equal to Trump's public behaviour. Which would you rather have? A criminal coming at you that you can recognize or one that says how much they love and will fight for you than turns around and stabs you in the back. He was an outsider to Washington promising to drain that swamp. That's what made him dangerous at the outset. He of course blew the opportunity to clean up.

If the Repubs find some one else to lead what I still call the TEA party movement in 2024 he or she will be an automatic two termer.

Dan, I'm by no means getting on you butt, just my opinion. FWIW, I too have been in your position on more than one election and that's when I've checked off the 'other' party. Mind you my Republican and Democrat friends just tell me that I threw my vote away !

Did not realize that was the case in OZ. That's like Cuba. There 99% vote for Castro and the 1% were shot.
Well as the Chicago joke goes. Vote early and vote often.

They're both STIs. One is modified, the other has been put mostly back to stock to pass emissions, but STI does not have the same flexibility to run 87.

Inflation is up 9.7% in Jan due to how the pandemic was handled, and fiscal policies and will continue to rise. All under Biden. Gas in some Canadian locations (BC) is $6US/gal for regular or $6.35US/gal for premium. Electricity rates will go up especially where renewables are used, the border is insecure, Afghanistan, energy dependence, allow extreme ideologies to flourish that defund police, give Californians their free crack pipe, spent 2 trillion disguised as COVID relief, divided Americans further, etc. There aren't enough fingers in all of the US to count what he's done poorly. Trump had better policies over-all. Not quite someone you'd show to Mom but better at running the country. Everything happening now is obvious knowing the nature of Biden and Harris. In order to control inflation, we will see interest rates rise, then the tsunami will hit.

Mainstream conservative media is circular. Their template isn't investigative journalism. Therefore all that's left is the behind-the-scenes suggestion and conspiracy. You're suppose to accept the premise, with no document. Or maybe even more ridiculous, conservatives use leftist (or centrist) sources to prove their point.

JLB, what scares the Bond Markets are two main issues. First, is the prospect of how are they going to raise interest rates without slamming an already weak economy. It will cause immense pain, especially to the working classes, the super rich not so much.

Second, the US Federal Gov't debt is at 28 T at year end 2021. Interest payments on that debt last year were $560B, the US 30 year Treasury pays @ <2% interest (which is a joke when you consider real rate of return is negative). Interest payments are currently 5% of the Gov'ts annual budget. When the raise interest rates rise, those interest payments will spike up and crowd out other spending. Like an adjustable mortgage.

Right, the leftwing media is the holy grail of journalism, not circular at all, we should just believe it and ignore other sources. Conservatives use leftwing sources as a source of ridicule as well as highlight the double standards that exist. Also, leftwing media is the only media the left will believe so conservatives are forced to use it.
I would be reluctant to use Fox or even the WSJ to prove a point to my lefty friends so I am forced at times to use the dumpster fire that is CNN LOL.

BTW, as an aside, the Australian government is calling for a new investigation on the Malaysian airliner disappearance. Maybe CNN can direct it's investigative journalistic expertise on that again.

My favorite is lefties posing as conservatives(ish) and only criticizing conservatives or their sources. Have quite a few friends like that.

I'm saying the left media uses some journalism against the right.

I'm saying because the right doesn't believe in journalism, there are no other sources to choose from. They don't fill in the void.

There could be, but it sure the he'll isn't Faux TV.

Maybe you mean you don't believe in the journalistic efforts of the right. I get that but the void is huge, encompasses 95% of the media, and intentionally so.
Don't worry about Fox, once old man Murdoch passes his lefty kids will move Fox to the center if not left completely. Then that will open up a void on the right. Maybe that's what Trump will do if he doesn't run again. That could be a safer option.
