RX-V659 Optical Output

I have hearing aids and I recently got a TV Connector that will allow me to hear the audio in my hearing aids.
I ran the optical cable from the TV connector to the optical output port on my RX-V659.
My question: Is there a way to lower the output volume on that port only?

Yes, see "Volume Trim" on page 94 of the manual. You can adjust +/- 6 dB.

If -6 dB is not enough, raise the other inputs (analog, coax) a few dB to better equalize when switching from input to input.

What optical output port on an avr? You mean input? :) Most avrs have a volume adjust like eagle driver says to adjust variances in input levels among various inputs....

Yes...Number 11 the Digital Output Jack is what I am plugged into. I will look on page
