DAC with a USB Flash Drive port

The "rips" are DSD from vinyl, I don't like CDs. I add to my music collection from places like HDtracks.

You don't "like" cds is fascinating. But digital recordings like them from hdtracks are okay? Fascinating. Especially considering hdtracks has been known to merely upsample cd....

I have seen the streaming DAC; Cambridge Audio CXN (V2) for $1,100.00 seems like a nice unit, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to pay for the streaming features.

If you don't want to use a laptop you probably have no choice but to use a DAC/network player. If you are okay with one that includes network/streamer type then there are likely better value than Cambridge Audio's based on audio specs. In fact I took a look of the manual and it seems to me it can't play dsd files.

It seems odd that an ex flagship Anthem AVR does not have music playback via usb port feature but it is what it is.. Most other AVR even the lowest Yamaha RX-A model has the feature and can play up to DSD256/11.2 Mhz.

The WX-C50 may do the job for you too, limited to DSD 5.6 Mhz but you can probably get a good price for it, to offset the streaming feature that you won't be using.

Yes, that's the one. Surprisingly it is the best Yamaha device measure on ASR, much better than the flagship RX-3080.

Below it linked to the review of the WXA-50 which has build in amp but the WXC-50 should measure the same or even better, just ignore the measurements on the amp section.

I would suggest you buy it from an authorized dealer that allows you to return it within X number of days, just in case it may not do certain things you want it to do.
