I need to vent...

I called up Yamaha's customer service today ((714) 522-9105)) and I have to say that its been a LONG time since I've seen worse customer service. These people had NO interest in helping a customer.

While they were not "outright" rude, they were practically rude, trying to rush me through my questions, refusing to answer other questions, speaking down to me, and being generally unhelpful. If they don't want to do their job - they need to go look for another one!

Have you had a similar experience? I spent less than 10 minutes on the phone with them, and yet I purchased a couple of thousand dollars worth of equipment... I deserve better treatment...

Please add to this thread your feedback on Yamaha's customer service. If other people had a similar experience, I will make sure it gets to the right person at Yamaha.

i've noticed a general air of disinterest with yamaha customer service. they have replied to most of my e-mail inquiries, but my communication with them (both via e-mail and phone) has been sort of like pulling teeth. sometimes i get half answers or i have to press them to tell me more. it feels as if they'd rather be doing anything else but talking to people who buy their products. that being said, i've always gotten a human when i've called. and, i've received a reply to probably 99% of my e-mail inquiries, however brief the replies were. i guess they get points for being available, but they lose points for being somewhat hard to deal with. after pressing them, i typically get the answers i want, but i shouldn't have to press them. on a scale of 1-10 (10 being best), i'd give them a 7. were you happy when you got a 70% on school tests?
