Need help with inconsistent audio lag

I consider myself relatively tech savvy but I am fairly new to the nuances of great audio sound. I got a refurb receiver direct from Denon last spring and continue to have problems with audio lag on some programs/devices but not others. I have several devices plugged into my Denon AVR-S750H. I have the PURE option set to AUTO.

When I use my TiVo mini, I have never noticed any lag at all and Movie sound options are Stereo, Dolby Audio-DD, Dolby Audio-DSur, DTS Neural:X, Multi Ch Stereo, Mono Movie, etc.

When I use my Apple TV4K, I have lag with some apps/movies but not others. With some Apple TVPlus shows I have to adjust audio delay to 498ms and Movie Sound options include: Stereo, Multi Ch In, Multi In+DSur, Multi In+Neural:X, Multi In+Virtual X, Multi Ch Stereo, etc. Or... Stereo, Dolby Atmos, and Multi Ch In.

I have similar problems with audio on my Playstation5.

I've tried adjusting settings on both the Apple TV4K and PS5 and haven't been able to get rid of the lag. It's incredibly frustrating to constantly have to switch the audio delay from 0 to 498ms and back again depending on what I'm watching. How can I fix this?

I tried contacting Denon support and their only advice was that they think this is related to the source devices and I need to work with them (Apple and Sony) instead. I'm skeptical that's the case.

You might want to try a HARD reset on the Denon. To do a light reset, unplug from the outlet, wait a minute and plug back in.

Also, unplug all the HDMI cables, so you have only the 1 HDMI cable to the TV from the Denon. How is the audio delay now? Any? I assume your using ARC on both TV and AVR.

Thanks for the advice. I actually jumped straight to the full reset because of all the problems and I'm still having the same problem with certain TV shows and movies. It seems to happen most often with content that has multichannel audio.
