Need advice regarding an amp to fuel my Focal Aria 926 FS Speakers

Hi there everyone,

I recently purchased the Focal Aria 926 floorstanding speakers after I heard them in a store with a Musical Fidelity M6s and in another store with an Advance amp (can't recall the model).
I eventually bought the Denon x3700h avr and I'm wondering if I should add a stereo amp to give the speakers the boost they need to sound a bit better.
I need your advice.
You think I should go the stereo amp route? is it worth it? will there be a significant difference in the sound produced with a stereo amp?
If the answer is yes to all those, which amp should I go for? I need recommendations anywhere in the range of 500$-1000$ if possible.
If it requires a more expensive option, I might wait at the moment as I can't afford anything more.

Thanks in advance!
Cheers!

Parasound or Outlaw. ATi, but those would up your budget by about 500 more. But without playing insane volume levels that AVR should drive your speakers without issue.

So it only makes a difference in high volumes?

Not really, 200 watt X 2 into 8 Ohm's will only get you about 2 maybe 3dbs more in Volume. That 3700 is a solid 100 watts X 2 into 8 Ohm's. Plenty enough to get your ears to bleed.

You can get an ultra quiet cool running class D Hypex Ncore 502 for less than $800.00. Specs will match or beat any Class AB amp costing twice as much.

How loud do you listen and how far from the speakers are you? A higher powered amp may have some advantages for lower impedance speakers at higher playback levels. Differences in demos tend to be more about the rooms and speakers and specific setup involved than the brand of electronics, tho.

Specs say 91.5 dB sensitivity. It shouldn't take a ton of power to get good volume out of those.
