Noticed a new FW update available for the Sony OLEDs since not a gamer should I download the upgrade.?.. I am pretty happy how the pic looks right now.
It's probably the TV OS. Since it runs Android TV, it will probably get security patches and bug fixes and such. I've had many updates on my sony and none have caused me any issues...yet.
If there isn't anything "wrong" with your TV, then you probably don't have anything to worry about. Especially if you don't use the built in Android TV. If you do use Android TV, then I'd probably look to see what's being updated and figure out if you care or not.
