Best Subwoofer Under $400 USD?

The title pretty much says it.

I’m new to home theatres. I’m going to pair this with my Polk Monitor 60s but I hear that Polk’s subs don’t rate too highly.

I’m open to new or used.

A pair of these…


RSL speedwoofer is 430ish. More linear, but having duals for Better FR potential, and a little more headroom goes towards the Daytons.

Also as @vader540is said, the used market is great for budget shopping, and the NSD is a great choice if you can find one in your area.
That of course is relative. But the 400 dollar subwoofer range is tough, believe it or not.

I would go for the Rogersound Labs Speedwoofer 10S for sure. Recommended by Wirecutter as the best $400 sub. Plenty of other reviews on it.

There's also the Dayton Audio 1200 that has the lowest price point that Wirecutter tested and won out.
