Audio Calibration via each Speaker? Help?

Was looking at the FAQ for the Spears & Munsil Ultra HD disc, and under the audio question it says:

No, the Ultra HD Benchmark does not include audio test tones. The only audio related content is for A/V Sync.
We are looking at offering a companion disc in Q2 of 2020 that offers both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive audio.

Looks like the FAQ for the previous disc only covers 7.1 audio, too.

I think but don’t quote me but I think he may find what he’s looking for on the Spears&Munsel 4 k video calibration Blu-ray it contains audio setup white noise and sub setup tones . It’s been awhile since I used it my son has mine now so I can’t confirm that the one he’s looking for is there .
I have the S&M 2k disk and I don’t recall any audio stuff on it. I also have a setup disk that sound and vision published years ago, but it doesn’t go beyond 7.1. I do think there’s a file or two that’s available on AVS…

I’m also still wondering how far off the spl could possibly be. Maybe I should watch the video…lol

Even with these tools, the signal chain still has to be setup properly. Source, player, avr... one step in that chain out of sorts and your attempt to calibrate is limited to the weak link. I just watched Blade Runner 2049 and it just about blew me out of my seat when I turned it up to -10 where I watch most of my movies at... I had to turn it down around -20, and it was still quite the showing for a hot mix.

;) Fun as hell, too! :D

I’ve got that one too actually both those you are correct on the 7.1 and the older one is 5.1 and 6.1 . The op might check THX sight I’d have to think they’d have something.
This got me looking in my discs I’ve got a Video Essentials made by Joe Kane that got THX audio calibration on it but it only has 6.1 .

That auto-cal disc looks like it'd at least be fun to play with.
Iam kind of digging the Blu-ray one looks interesting to check crossover points and a sub level sweep .

Thank you @Mark E. Long that’s what I was getting at. I was wondering if any disc/ PC files existed that would play a test tone in each speaker so that a reading could be taken. I was hoping for something I could control myself instead of having to hit stop and play over for each speaker but if that is the way so be it. Having it be over 7.1 would be nice too, so hopefully it being 2021 some company out there will do a 9.1 or even 11.1 soon. Thanks for all the help and info. P.S. this Dolby Disc I found has 9.1.6 so I guess I’ll get it and see what happens. If anyone has used this, let me know if it’s worth it. Thanks

Your welcome I’d didn’t read the back on that one but it looks to have everything you need now that I look at the back . I kind of like going outside of the box with these from time to time .
I’ve never seen that one that’s got a lot of tests for about every configuration you’d have . Nice find !
