Static from comp

I use a windows 10 computer with jriver connected via hdmi to my denon receiver. The comp uses a ssd drive. I get a static noise off and on
and it is annoying. Anything I can do to get rid of static noise?

My first couple of thoughts:

1) Has the problem always been there? Or just started recently? If it started recently, go check your PC for the last time Win10 was updated, and perhaps roll back that update. I have personally been fighting Win10 updates vs. audio output / drivers.

2) Make sure all of your audio drivers are up to date!

Bingo! That is exactly how ground loops present in audio computers.

Tighten up all your mobo to chassis screws, PSU scews etc. USB, HDMI, Coax can all present ground loops. Only optical is immune. Worse case you can pick up one of these guys https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Isolation-Transformer-Outlet/dp/B00006HPFH

Well I think I fixed it. Opened Case and rearranged fan cord which seemed to to do the trick.
