Marantz versus Denon bench test performance

Not only we finally have a Marantz that measured as good as its Denon counterpart (at least on the analog side), thanks to Gene and Amir's efforts, now we can also compare the bench test results of the same SR8015 not all, but at least the important tests anyway.

So at this moment, based on measurements, the best AV preamp processors are the AVR-X8500H and the SR8015, for those who don't need XLR outputs, unless Matthew/or Shady would surprise us with their measurements on the AV7706 (highly doubt it would do any better than the AV7705/AV8805).

We're making some progress lol! Now to find some solid contenders on these new prepros that measure good and you don't have to be a beta tester for a year to get it to work

I expect by the second or third quarter of 2022, Marantz and/or Yamaha (sorry, I know you may still be counting on Anthem to come through, but for such a complicated device I won't trust anything other than D/M and Y's) will have an AV preamp processor that will measure as good as the Denon/Marantz (SR8015 only) AVRs that is worth for me to jump back right into one. I hope I won't be disappointed... Regardless, if that don't happen I would just stick my AVR-X4400H.

I'm not impressed with the Anthem since Ive had my Yamaha I love thar Yammy the Anthem is going on the selling block

I just try to treat you the way I'd want to be treated if the shoe was on the other foot. Been a good way for me to live so far Lol
