Issues with Amp/Outdoor Speakers

Hello,

i purchased two yamaha 100 watt speakers to put in my backyard along with a Pyle mini bluetooth amp to supply the power. i added a volume control to this as well

when playing music from my phone through bluetooth the music stop, skips and then plays for 15 seconds and then skips again. The music is not constant.

i am wondering if this had something to do with the amp or the speakers? i checked all the wiring, it is all fine.

is there not enough power from the amp? It is rated for 240 watts. I have attached links for what i am using.

i have had the amp situated on top of another receiver for my TV so i moved it away from there thinking it was just some kind of interference but still nothing.

any help would be appreciative as this is starting to become frustrating now.

thank you in advance

What volume control and why did you need to add one? Does it work better without the volume control? My gut instinct is to suspect the Pyle, just would never spend money on Pyle offerings like that but adding in some sort of volume control could well have something to do with it.

Do other bluetooth devices have similar difficulty playing thru the amp? Does this only happen at high volume or at any volume?

Thank you for the reply

the Bluetooth amp is located about 15-20 feet away from the speakers so the volume control allows me to adjust the volume at a shorter distance

I can understand that (but remote controls are good, too), but what particular volume control is it and how it is implemented could be the issue....

Do you mean that the music stops and restarts at the same point, or that it cuts out and restarts at a different point in the music? If it's the first, check your WiFi speed and throughput and if it's the latter, look at the amplifier and make sure the volume control isn't maxed out. What is the setting of the remote volume control? If it's about half, turn the amp down and raise the other volume control to get the level you want.

I'm not going to be a cheerleader for Pyle. As Tom Waits says in 'Step Right Up', "The large print giveth and the small print taketh away". You may have seen the 120W rating in the ad that got you to buy it, but whenever you buy ANY audio/video equipment, read the manual. ALWAYS.

The specs are on page 5- it shows:

"Output Power, 2 Channels Driven 4- Ohm, 1 kHz, 1% THD 20Wx2 4- Ohm, 10 kHz, 1% THD 32Wx2 Max Power 120Wx2

That's not 120W- it shows nothing about lower frequencies and doesn't even have much at 1KHz, which amplifier manufacturers use to show the output because that's where the amplifier usually does best, which is purely for marketing purposes.
