Power amp for klipsch r-26fa speakers.

First time posting here so if I break etiquette or say something dumb go easy on me
I'm adding a pair of klipsch r-26fa speakers to my home theater. I'm running a 7.1.2 system with a yamaha tsr7810 receiver so I need a power amp and man there is a lot of info out there. I was leaning tword a crown xls 1502 until I hear that its a noisy match for high efficiency and horn loaded speakers. Another one i was looking at was emotiva basx a2. My budget is $500 max. Any experiences with crown and klipsch pairings or any suggestions for amps. Other affordable names I've come across were Berringer niles and rockville.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You won’t need a amplifier for those speakers, unless your getting it to run extra channels on something like a Denon3500. They don’t use much power .. I have similar Klipch icons with duel 6.5” woofers I could run them full range with power to spare tho 60-80hz is what is usually suggested.
Focus on subwoofers what are you using? Maybe add another

I have a klipsch r-12sw which is more than I need for the room I'm in. Yeah I'm running the towers with 5 other speakers 7.1.2 so I figured on giving the front their own power rather than split 100w between 9 speakers. I was also under the impression that a separate power amp would not only add power but quality/clarity to the sound the speakers produce. Am I wrong about that?

You don't "split" 95/110 wpc (depending which thd spec at 8 ohm you are looking at) between 9 speakers in any case, particularly since your avr only has 7ch of amplification, and each of your channels can provide that output, altho if you are talking about the somewhat useless ACD (all channels driven) type of spec, yes, the wpc would drop somewhat as it likely has an insufficient power supply (like most avrs in a sense). So if you want to run 9 speakers you need an external amp. At least from a brief look at your manual. ACD is not a real-world situation, tho.

FWIW I have several Crown XLS amps and use them with JBL 590s with no issues; your speakers may have a rating of 97dB sensitivity but Klipsch overstates such by 4-5dB as they use an "in-room" equivalent. My 590s are 91 dB per measurements (spec'd a bit differently by jbl, tho at 92).

Klipch 92db sensitivity, amp would be wasted money unless yours is overheating or clipping, but I’m shocked that amp has pre outs at $850 you can’t get those in today’s amps that price .
I’m not sure if there’s any risk to running towers full range or-down to 40hz but that’s about all you would need anamp for . Do you listen loud often over 92db ? If not I’d say your fine with your avr . A few watts can power them .. if your sitting 12 feet or more back amp can help .
It may not do anything, with a 9ch amp capable of 11 you’d get 2 extra channels . Like one of those Denon.

So was i wrong to think that an external power amp will improve sound quality? I don't max out volume very often but I've been under the impression that a power amp dedicated to my fronts would improve the performance of my speakers. If the answer to that is no then is loudness the only improvement amps bring to the table regardless of quality? Im not looking for more volume im looking for better performance more clarity a better sound stage etc.

So is volume the o ly improvement power amps bring to the table? Sound quality and range aren't improved by adding a dedicated amp to my front speakers?

The question is more how much headroom do you need (or think you want) for peaks over average spl at your listening position? Have you tried using an spl calculator like this to get an idea of your needs?

FWIW kingnoob doesn't have a great grasp on a lot....I unignore him when he starts giving advice....it's often not helpful.

Generally a more powerful amp brings higher/cleaner output, but generally the same quality, altho tube amps could be a bit different from solid state amps for one somewhat known possible difference. The question is more how much headroom do you need (or think you want) for peaks over average spl at your listening position? Have you tried using an spl calculator like this to get an idea of your needs?

I dono were op went but my Klipch get super loud on a onkyo 818 so I may have more wattage by 30rms , is that significantly enough for a power amp to help him with Yamaha ?
Clearly I’d never need one, I’d upgrade to rp line or emotiva t2 before worrying about amplifier... but if amp is under $599 go for it op.

I'm running the same speakers on a Denon AVR X3500H and have the same question. These speakers are rated for 100w cont/400w peak. The center channel, the same. The atmos and surround speakers require less. The Denon is rated 105 watts per channel/ 2 channels driven. what if you're driving 7? So, if you get the emotiva basx 3 channel and hook to the preouts for 3 channels, will you get an improvement? I do like it LOUD sometimes
