Audio Output Switching - Help Needed.

Hello. My apologies if this is a stupid question with an obvious answer, but I am very new to all of this.

I have a Sony UBP-X800 DVD player connected via HDMI to my TV, which in turn, is connected to a soundbar. I want to keep that connection, but I want to have the option of switching the audio out from the DVD player to a Cambridge Audio stereo receiver so that I can also use the Sony as a CD player with my 2.1 stereo set up.

The Sony DVD player has 1 coaxial audio output and 2 HDMI outputs.
The Cambridge Audio receiver has RCA inputs and Coaxial and TOSlink Optical digital inputs.

Is there some sort of device that could ideally sit on the DVD player that would allow me to easily switch where the audio output is going?
I have found tons of devices on Amazon that seem to have a single output with multiple inputs, but that seems to be the opposite of what I am trying to achieve.

Both the Sony DVD player and the Cambridge Audio receiver have Bluetooth, but due to my room layout, I can seem to get a strong clean signal between the two device and would like a wired solution, but one that doesn't require having to pull out the DVD player are change the connections manually each time I want to switch between CD listening and DVD watching.

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

I don't think you need a switch. Just connect the player to the TV with HDMI, and connect the player to your Cambridge amp with a coax digital cable. I don't see your problem.

Thanks. I will grab a coax cable and give it a go. I didn't realize it would be as simple as that. Presumably, if the receiver is powered off, the sound from the DVD player would just then revert to the TV/Soundbar set up?

I'd think it will be simultaneous output, playable thru the unit(s) that are powered on.

With my Pioneer Bluray player, I have to select the output in the menu – HDMI or optical. So worst case, you may have to contend with that.

No switching required with that player.

Excellent. That "feature" never made sense to me anyway...
