Yet Another Subwoofer Choice Help Thread

Looking to spend under $500, maybe $400. I have looked at local shops and used gear, as well as new and have come down to an odd assortment such as:

Klipsch R-120SW
Definitive Tech Pro-Sub 1000
Definitive Tech Super Cube 2000
B&W ASW 608
Martin Logan Dynamo 800x

Other New Options:

Rogersound Speedwoofer 10S
SVS SB 1000
Other Monoprice or HSU?

So many choices. The 'value leader' is the Martin Logan as I can get it on a great discount. But I wonder if the base will be as good (tight, clean, accurate), as some of the others.

Alternatively, should I match and go with the B&W even though that gets knocked for deep bass?

Currently have B&W 603s Front, B&W 601s on Surrounds, and B&W Center, and B&W CC6 S2 Center. Current Sub HSU STF-2 has dead amp. Older Denon 5.1 AVR

None of those first 5 listed are great subs for any dollar value. Maybe the ML... but better can be had.
What are your goals, room size?

Listening area is an open space 12 feet front to back, and 24 wide. But open room is broken into two areas so the actual viewing / listening area is 12x12, wide open on the right.

I listen to wide variety from movies to music. I want to create a richer sound with deeper bass (mostly because the existing sub is dead). Accuracy and tightness is more important than pure volume and shake.

Monoprice Monolith THX 10" Select is a very good sub for $500.
This new one from BIC Acoustech may be pretty good for the money.
RSL Speedwoofer is a good sub, but doesn't dig as deep as the Monolith. Nice and punchy above 30Hz though.
There is this sub, which isn't likely a deep digger but may pack a real punch above 40Hz. Along those lines, you could get two of these guys, get a nice punchy system that can also address room modes.
