I've had my Onkyo TX-NR 686 for less than 2 years, hooked up to 2 warfdale bookshelves, a Klipshe center channel, Nintendo Switch, PS4 Pro, roku and 4k player. Out of nowhere my display goes out. TV display is fine. I directly plugged all products to TV (Hisense) and they work. I did a soft reset, no luck, did a hard reset and nothing. how can I get my display to show again.....or is it paperweight now????? Please help!!!!

Did it go out while using it or did it not come on at all?

Outside of taking it to an electronics shop for analysis not sure what you're qualified to do other than the resets you've already tried.

It went out
I would open it up and make sure there is no ribbon connector that has come off, or not properly seated. If that does not do the trick, the unit needs service.

If you do decide to replace it, your only serious choices are Denon/Marantz or Yamaha and may be Sony. I know that is a small list, but that is what it really comes down to.
There really are that few serious contenders now.

Thanks....I'll see about taking it to a specialist. If not I'll be on market for a new one.....ughhhh.
