Yet another receiver thread

I know...

Unfortunately I was thrust into this situation by a dog that went into the living room and shook water all over the place.

Now I missed out on any deals over the holidays, stock is horribly low and I hate rushing a decision (just ask anyone in the speaker thread I had a couple years ago).

So the particulars:
I'd love to keep this under $600, but go ahead and upsell me and maybe I'll feel better about it.
Currently I have a pair of 4-ohm speakers across the front with an 8-ohm center.
(I have a BMR build kit sitting in a box...somewhere and the day I get around to it will be glorious. Until that far away date I need something that is built well enough or with 4-ohm in mind and will do well when the BMRs finally live.)
I just bought a pair of SVS-2k subs. I was loving them until 2 days ago.
There are no surrounds currently in the mix. The shape of the space doesn't make a good case for them unless I do in ceiling (to much work).
4k TV and I need at least ARC capability.
3 - HD HDMI sources.

What I lost was an AVR-2400h.
Prior to that I had another Denon where after 6 years all the digital I/O died.

Each time I go to listen to things, I end up leaning Denon. Mostly because I hate harsh highs or things that accentuate them. I did like Onkyo as a second choice at one point but that was a while ago.

Looking at things my first reaction was an AVR-x1600h, but there's no review of them on ASR. I like the 3 year warranty and the price, but can't get a good feel for it from other's reactions. Seems to be a bit of an outlier. The 2700H would be killer but I'd need a sale/deal on it and no ASR review.

Yamaha seems popular but it's one of those brands I've worked at liking and never succeeded. The RX-A2A would be a great choice especially with the trigger output and the warranty, but again a bit over my wanted threshold. The RX-V6A seems like an ok fit but ASR review makes it a meh choice.

Marantz NR1711 seems like a slimmed brother of the Denon 2700H capability wise. Still a little over my arbitrary budget. Not sure where Marantz sits in the spectrum these days.

I haven't looked at Sony in years. Not sure how they rate but just a glance at the STR-ZA810ES and the only thing that really blows my skirt is the 5 year warranty. Hate the knob arrangement on the front panel.

Seems like I keep looking at more than I need simply to check off a couple boxes like longer warranty, removable power cord, upscaling, DC trigger, etc...

So? Talk to me Goose.

Touche.

Not sure I'm ready to go as far as more than doubling my ballpark.
You get the best version of Audyssey (with actual dual sub capability) and a full set of pre-outs, 2 more amp channels and 4 more processing channels.....you said try and upsell ya! :)

You could always low-ball with something to get you by for now. Kind of doubling up but say getting a $150 whatever for the next year, then getting that avrx3700 like the OP stated. That AVR is fire!!!!!!!!!
