Yamaha RX-V663 Zone B Subwoofer

Hi All - I’m helping my father in law redo his Yamaha RX-V663 because things have gotten messed up over the years and we are trying to figure out how to have the subwoofer work with the zone b speakers (hooked up to the extra speakers area).

He uses these speakers specifically for music and doesn’t want any of the other speakers to be on while these are on, except for the sub.

Is there anyway to have the sub work for both A speakers and B speakers?

Thanks!

Generally zones don't have provisions for a sub pre-out. Is this an A/B speaker option or main zone/zone 2?

A/B speaker option. He doesn’t even care if the sub works with the A speakers, he just wants it working with B speakers.

It’s not an option to swap what’s with A and B because B only has 2 speaker outputs and A has his surround sound.

If he wants a sub with B speakers might consider another sub using high level inputs in that location.
