I'm looking to get a receiver for my home theater. The Denon x3700h and the x4500h are basicly the same price. Which one should I buy

Slightly different spec, whichever floats yer boat. :) Personally I'd go 4500 at the same price but don't know what you want from the differences in the units. Maybe the offical meatball will offer his opinion :) @mazersteven

It really all depends on the features your looking for. The 3700 is a little more future proof, but by the time 8K comes out there will be other new improvements that will make either receiver outdated. The difference in watts means nothing and both amp sections are stable.

What Speakers?

Are you asking more questions or trying to help? Yes, the 4xxx series is a higher tier than the 3xxx series. 15wpc difference is negliible though. The 3xxx and 4xxx series have the Audyssey XT32 like your 818 (but with dual sub capability via SubEQ for level/delay, which yours does not). The 818 is perfectly fine outside of 4k/atmos applications.

Yeah plus there 9.2 ch I’d need a power amplifier to run 9ch , wouldn’t bE worth it tho in such a small room who knows if it would work .

7.2 is fine for me
I always wondered why audysee test tones the sub if it cannot do subEq...

Weird both Denon are same price did op decide ? Yet
