I’ve been using what I believe to be fine amps in my main theater for years. My main preamp is a Rotel RSP-1582 4K. This is a really beautifully sounding unit. Love the huge numbers on inputs/balanced outputs. Money well spent. My amps have been my Nakamichi PA-1 at 5x100 watts, and a very powerful class d Rotel 5x500 watt (with 4 ohm RBH Reference). Enjoyed them all.

Enter my new Crestron CNAMPX-7x200. The FedX guy looked vexed as he carried the box in. His face was really red from the 100 lb box. Anyway, I opened the beautiful beast, heaved it into the cabinet, put on the 24 volt adapter that allows this to function without the network. Worked like a champ but the sound......

I had a holiday kids show on. It was apparent how much current this can move. When the transients rise with the sound track it really hits you physically. You become afraid that it won’t stop climbing. Several instances left me diving for the remote while the grandson freaked.

Outstanding clarity. The RBH T2/R have never sounded so good. I paid a bit over $600. I am so pleased with the value. The Nakamichi, Hafler and Rotel amps go into storage.

every home should have one.
