Amp advice for speakers

Hi all, I am looking for some advice. I appreciate good quality sound, but have zero idea on how to even begin buying a system!

I have picked up a couple of AParte Mask 6 speakers and need advice on what amp to purchase to run them. I went for these as I want them in my garden, I am not adding any subs so it is only the two speakers on the system. From what I gather so far I should be looking for a 500w system which should run 2 x 250w at 8ohm.

Any advice is appreciated.

Do you want to run them as 100V, 70V or simply passive speakers? How did you come to the conclusion it should be 2 x 250w at 8 ohm? Passive these speakers are rated 16 ohm and only rated for 150w (and that's undefined as to whether that's continuous or peak).

I am going purely on advice I was given when I dropped into an audio store. I would like to set them up as passive speakers. Would you still allow for head room above that? so say 200w at 16ohm?

So what amp did they suggest? How loud do you plan to run these? What's your budget?

ps looking at some more of the Apart literature they do seem to come in an 8 ohm version as well....do you have the 8 ohm version?

This is what they suggested. They are 16ohm.

I don’t have a budget in mind, it is only for the garden so nothing that is going to break the bank. I don’t intent to add any more speakers either

That looks to be a reasonably priced pro style power amp, altho not as powerful as what you originally mentioned, but likely would work well enough. What devices will you be using/connecting for source(s) of music? A consideration of an amp like that is possible fan noise, where will you place the amp?
