Potential for election chaos

The electoral college is antiquated.. But it does serve the purpose of giving rural voters a bit more oomph... I wouldn't worry too much.. Many things can be accomplished if the election goes well.. Dc and Puerto rico even things up a bit .. If the dems decide to play the same game as the Republicans things might get very productive
Good luck with Puerto Rico, Hillary took them to the cleaners pretty good

No, if the Democrats win the presidency and the Senate they have full legal authority to pack the supreme court. Furthermore if that happens that’s what the Democrats should do because that’s what the voters I asked for by their votes.
I don't like that idea actually.. But i guess there are worse options... Biden was right ,imo, where does it stop?... Someone needs to be the arbitor of sanity... I think it's better time spent getting a huge relief package passed ( mostly to shove up McConnell's butt) and fixing obamacare to the point the insurance companies are glad to have some crumbs to peck at...

You think they're going to turn down statehood based on fake internet fodder? .. I hope that's not the theory bc it holds water like a bucket with holes in it.. I just looked it up.. PR has a referendum on the ballot to decide if they want to seek statehood, we shall see if your theory holds up... Don't worry a bit... I'll make sure to let you know either way

Elections give the illusion of choice. It's all theater. Scripted to the end. What's missing now is the showmanship. Remember when the voting booths had those little curtains on them? You could do anything in there! You don't even wanna' know how I use to fill in the bubbles on my ballot. :p

There is some truth in your madness... Especially this year and with current events of the past few weeks.. I don't discount completely the thought of a civil war if this thing goes weeks b4 an outcome is decided.. And if it's decided by a lawsuit that overturns the poular vote b/c of a technicality in a state like Pennsylvania it may get bad fast

Fun facts:

Total eligible voters in 2016:

250,056,000

Total votes in 2016 election:

138,781,080 (55.5%)

Clinton got 65,853,514 votes (26% of eligible voters)

Trump got 62,984,828 votes (25% of eligible voters)

So, using that information we can see that 75% of eligible voters did NOT want Trump as president and 74% didn't want Clinton.

To me, that makes it pretty plain that a very large percentage of the country's interested aren't being met. I don't dispute that if more people voted then we'd see very different results. I'm thinking voter turnout for this election will be much higher than 55.5% of voters, but that remains to be seen.

We need to give people better candidates so that remaining 44.5% will get off their butts and vote. We also need to make it easier to vote since some people can't take off of work. Early voting in TX has bee much easier/better than previously, but I don't know about other states. I'm reading people are in line for hours and hours. Not everyone can take that time.

I'd be very interested to know what percentage of that 44.5% tried to vote, but couldn't, or did vote, but their ballot wasn't counted for some reason.

Sure, whatever you say.

Looks pretty balanced to me. A lot of the red is unoccupied or very little population at all.
This year I don't think the electoral college is gonna be a factor. I think it might be overwhelming and not matter. Then again republicans are trying to throw out legit votes but you know what it means when you don't want votes counted.

Why is everybody in a hurry to get a dumbed-down society to the polls? They think the elections are as real as pro wrestling. The last one was so much more fun. Remember when the Bitter Battle Ax took on the Coked-up Horse's Ass? Those were better days.

The other theory is : give em something to vote against.. Generally it doesn't work, but His royal orangeness may ,like everything else he's involved in ,break rules of decorum and normality...

Yeah, but when nobody shows any concern from the get-go, you end up with a hooker as your first “lady”.
