I'd get a 3000, with a 1300 square foot room, you're talking about 8000+ cubic feet of volume!

You’ll have 800 watts RMS of continuous power and 2,500 watts of peak power on hand. This kind of deep bass and power is not something you are going to want to have in an apartment or condo unless you are totally isolated from your neighbors as you will likely get a stream of complaints if you crank this guy up to its full potential Click to expand... Lol 133 dB at 30 Hz? Um no. Maybe if you put your ear right next to the cone. It's a good sub, but that is an absurd number.

Seaton Submersive is one fairly famous one.... Click to expand... Yup, found it now. Thanks man I really appreciate that, was searching for an hour LOL -_-

Yes, the cabinet is nearly inert with the opposed drivers cancelling each other out on the motive force that you might get from a single driver (i.e. the sub crawling/dancing a bit). I seem to remember an ad for either the Seaton or the one I have (Epik Empire) where they'd balance a quarter on edge on the cabinet while it was playing at high volume....

It's mostly from the cancellation of forces. Put two drivers, an amp and a stoutly braced box of mdf all together and it's gonna weigh a bit....think mine is 120. My diy will be baltic birch ply to keep the weight down a bit.
