the world now recognizes Trump has made us a s@it hole

Answer these questions-

-Why are cities allowing agitators from outside to come in to cause problems?

-Why aren't Democrat controlled cities secure & safe?

-Why is Congress allowed to crap the bed, while nobody seems interested in looking at some way to get them to work for the American people?

McConnell and Pelosi are disgraceful and don't want to work out meaningful deals.

Answer those questions and you'll see why a lot of this is happening. People are allowed to be out of control and they aren't looking for constructive ways to solve the problems. People on either side aren't interested in understanding the other without insults, condescension and anger. People are absolutely convinced that they know why this is going bad and they aren't interested in discussion, nor can they bring themselves to consider the possibility that they may be wrong about at least some of it.

It's not only Trump's fault.

Since I turn into a pumpkin after 8 at night (health issues), can anybody give me a synopsis of what happened last night?

Don't worry I'll watch it on the intergoogle later on today and make up my own mind. Just trying to get an idea of what you guys thought.
18 pages suggest it's more difficult than it seems.

your questions are laced in fallacy

and

I doubt you have any clue what that means

ignorance is the friend of the right, hence Trump owns the uneducated vote.

We're supposed to have armed gates/papers/approved purposes to get into a city? Republican cities seem to have same issues. We voted them in, we get the government we deserve accordingly. McConnell is particularly bad about working on deals. Of course it's not just drumphy's fault, but he and the republicans have exacerbated things....

@eljr @lovinthehd good luck! These are the same people who would have protested Social Security or the New Deal, despite the immense benefits to themselves.

We could all continue to debate them, but is there really that much common ground with a person that's at best OK with permanently separating children from their families? There's too many examples to share about how they cheer on the damage of our society because they are hateful and/or ignorant.

I have no guilt in proposing we move on without them. The "radical" policies I want (aka center/center-left anywhere else in the developed world) for the country help them as much as anyone else, no matter how undeserving they are.

The repubs stimulus offer still is not very comprehensive, but better than nothing with the do-nothing repubs and its still owned by drumphy in the long term.
Moscow Mitch would not even talk about the 1.8T bill Nancy and WH agreed upon. Now Moscow M is proposing maybe a .5T package.

Crazy that one guy can screw up so much. Even crazier that the guy I'm talking about isn't Trump.

what issues? This is a false narrative. The cities are the economic engines of our country. The cities provide us with culture, jobs, art, architecture...

The fat belt is red. This is where the welfare goes. It comes from the cities. The fat belt is where teen pregnancy soars. Where kids don't graduate high school, where the drug and alcohol abuse leads the country. Teen pregnancy is at it zenith.

Oh, that is not all. If you remember he has well over 400 bills in his inbox untouched. Very powerful there.

This would mean all teen pregnancy happens in cities ;)
even though the rates have been falling to 2013 greatly
Perhaps it is skyrocketing since?

Without looking at anything, it could be dropping in cities and going up in "towns".

I had thought it was in decline most places in the US.

Gates? If we could have gates for the area where I live, sign me up. If someone wants to come in and not cause problems, great. If they want to cause trouble, nope. Don't care what group they belong to, just want to stop the crime.

Look at the top 50 cities where rioting and looting have been most severe.

McConnell is another poster boy for term limits. We need to really take a good, hard look at who's doing a decent job and let the others know they're either on the bubble or if they just need to go.

We get what we deserve, like this?

"A senator's soul arrived in heaven and was met by St. Peter at the entrance. "Welcome to heaven," said St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," said the senator. "Well I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one day in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity," said St. Peter. "Really, I've already made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," said the senator. "I'm sorry, but we have our rules," St. Peter insisted. And with that, St. Peter escorted him to the elevator and he went down, down, down, down to hell.

When the doors to the elevator opened, however, the senator found himself in the middle of a beautiful green golf course. In the distance was a clubhouse and standing in front of it were all his friends and politicians who had worked with him. Everyone was very happy and in formal attire.

They all rushed to greet him, shook his hand, and reminisced about the good ol'days they had shared together, often at the expense of the people they were supposed to serve. They played a friendly game of golf and then dined on lobster, caviar, and champagne.

Also present was Lucifer, the devil himself, who really was an incredibly likeable fellow that was the life of the party. Everyone was having such a good time that before the senator realized it; the moment had come for him to leave.

Everyone gave him a hearty farewell and waved while the elevator rose. It went up, up, up, and the door reopened in heaven where St. Peter was found waiting. "Now it's time to visit heaven," said St. Peter. So, twenty-four hours passed with the senator joining a group of contented souls, praising God, singing hymns, with fellowship of the deepest and purest kind. The experience was truly meaningful and, before he realized it, the twenty-four hours had gone by and St. Peter returned.

"Well, now, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity," instructed St. Peter. The senator reflected for a moment, then answered, "You know, I would have never believed that I would have said this before, heaven has been nice, but I think I would really be better off in hell."

So, St. Peter escorted him to the elevator and he went down, down, down to hell. The doors of the elevator opened and he found himself in the middle of a barren land with a dark, ominous and foreboding sky. The heat was exceedingly oppressive. He saw all his friends dressed in rags, some naked and unclean, many pulling around the chains of their former vices in life.

The devil came over to the man and put his arm around his shoulder. "I don't…I don't…I don't understand," stammered the senator. "Only yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a clubhouse, and we ate lobster caviar, and drank champagne. It was tremendous. We were living the high life. Now there's just this wasteland, wasted lives, and miserable associations. What happened!?"

The devil looked at him, smiled, and said, "Yesterday we were campaigning. Today you voted." "
