I bought a new denon avr s750h and I need some advice. I am trying to set up atmos. First question, if I use 5.2.2 and setup only two front height speakers will I get some plIIz ambient only or will I get actual atmos but with less object based effect? IF yes then question answered If only PLIIZ then if I set the denon height as TOP FRONT only but still keep the speakers as high on the wall aimed down at me, will I get any atmos effects? I know already if I would nail the to speakers to the mid celing aimed down at me atmos would be better but that is NOT my questions. I can NOT put speakers in the celing of apt. What is my second best option if I do NOT use 4 height speakers or ANY up-firing stuff at all, always just two.

Didnt look like it has dolby pro logic II but the newer dolby surround which will upmix to, and use, what you have set it to(top front).

Wrote wrong i in the parentheses, it doesnt matter if top or height front. They will be upmixed to with dolby surround and will be used if an actual atmos track also.

Check the angles between your seating position and the speakers to find out if they should be set as top or height according to the dolby specifications.

I have them set as front heights both aimed toe in and down 45 degree down angle aimed directly at my head in my seating position
