Again, thank you in advance for all your help. As I await my new Cantons to come in, I’m trying to wrap up outside.

Yamaha RX-V69

Yamaha outdoor speakers (not sure of model) pair

3 Niles RSI8 rock speakers.

I had been running just the 2 Yamahas for outside as a second zone on my other AVR.sound was very lackluster in the pool though, because the speakers are against the house. I scored the 3 rocks used for $200 total (MSRP $285each), so I’m ready to get some pool sound.

My questions are, is the placement of the rocks in the pictures ideal? Hope you can see my arrows. That middle one it’s a bed there and I’m not sure if I should aim that towards the pool or the table.

Shoukd I put the rocks by the house and move the 2 Yamahas by the pool?

How should I wire these things? They have 2 cords coming out one with yellow and black, the other with red and black. The guy I bought them from had it wired so the blacks would go together to the negative and the red yellow together for the positive.

Then, I assume I should do the 2 speakers by the house as the Front LR, the rock in the center as center and the 2 rocks by the pool, rear surrounds. Is that accurate?

Any answers and or suggestions, comments are welcome. Thanks again

In my Opinion. I'd leave extra wire so that you could move them around if the Sound isn't to your liking. I think just Trial and Error to find the right placements

I did that, just ate up 250 ft of wire for the 2 by the pool. Hot damn

This is what I have in the backyard. No matter where you are, the sound quality remains the same and the sound is everywhere.

Definitely worth consideration if/when you decide that you want more.
I was looking at those green ones that are Omni direction, then I ran across these rocks used. How are those underground subs?

I just checked out the site. Underwater pool speakers too? Damn, your gonna kill my wallet.
I use one of their transducers under my couch, don't know about the pool experience myself :) If I had one, tho....

Nice backyard! I'd get those speakers off the ground, that would help a lot I'd think. I mount my outdoor speakers just under the eaves of my deck area and leave them there all year, don't need a lot so a pair of Dayton IO655s have been doing fine for me for last several years (5?) (just for a decent sized deck, as when I'm out in the yard it's generally with a power tool going for maintenance, altho if I want to annoy my neighbors I could)

I’m the ultimate neighbor annoyer. Side story, I did some stupid poop when I was a kid and did 5 months in juvie. My neighbor was one of my guards!!!! He wasn’t a lord helmet to me then, so I’m cool, but my music is going all the time.

Problem is, my eaves are second story there, so I’d have to mount them to the siding. Maybe some blocks first.

Yeah mine end up not far from standing ear height (and are on pivoting mounts). I even drag a real sub (wireless tx/rx) out there once in a while but at least can put it at a boundary, wonder how those underground jobbies do....

It does a good job. I would certainly put it near a wall to help amplify and direct the sound into the listening area.

Don't expect it to be a rock'n party system, but rather a nice, relaxed musical atmosphere.
