My receiver does not allow me to set individual crossovers to each channel!

I have dual SVS PB-2000's! I'm going to start at 80 but my receiver only lets me set my crossovers as 50, 80, 100, and 120hz. I'd like to try 50hz because all my speakers can handle them except my SVS prime elevations (my height channels) which have a frequency response of (55hz-20khz). Could I potentially damage them if I set the crossover to 50hz?
Try both, doubt it will harm the height speakers. Your subs are more capable in that range around 50 than the other speakers, tho.

If running a THX based system, global would be fine. I've been running a 110/120hz crossover for a while and with my gear it works better.
I’ve not experimented with the higher cross over in the Yamaha yet I started at 80 on some I left at 80 some I lowered as there large quality towers 60 for those but I’ve really not been happy with the subs with these settings I may try a higher setting for them all like I said I used to run at 120 on another setup and had no issues.

After talking today on cross over settings I reset mine to 100 hz and I have to say it did make a dramatic difference in not only the top end but really cleaned up the bass especially the subs They now seem more involved in the whole mix of things sometimes an old guy needs reminded of thx standards .

Nice to see you found some improvement in your setup.
