I'm also trying to decide which amp to purchase (first amp). From doing a bit of research on this forum it seems that the top 3 most common manufactures are Outlaw, Monoprice, and Emotiva. I'm leaning towards Monolith 7x or 9x. My current setup is below:

7.2.2
  • Klipsch RP-8000F
  • Klipsch RP-504C
  • Klipsch R-51M
  • Klipsch R-120SW
  • Polk RC80i (VOG) debating if I should replace with CDT-5800-C II
  • SVS PB16-Ultra (the wife only agreed to get one...for now ;) )
  • Denon AVR-X4500H
Room dimensions: 20’length x 13’width x 8.5’ height, seating position 12ft
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Well I wouldn't call Outlaw or Monoprice amp manufacturers.....Outlaw's higher series of amps are made by ATI as are Monoprice's Monolith amps; Outlaw's other series are made for them by competent manufacturers, tho. Emotiva does assemble their own still....I think. ATI also has their own models which are very good and several forum members have those, too. I'd go with which amp has the power level you want at the price you want. Heck, the Denon may be fine on its own depending on your listening levels....

Can't go wrong with Mono or Outlaw. Both made by ATI. I would skip Emotiva. Bad support service.

Note that not all Outlaw amplifiers are built by ATi...
Some models are built off-shore sourced from Taiwan, same factory that builds the majority of Parasound products..

Just my $0.02... ;)

it was past the warranty i believe
Have the Monolith amps been out long enough to be out of warranty? I have the 7 and it's a tank. I've never felt it get hot even.

ALTHOUGH... if you forget to remove the jumpers on your speakers when passive bi amping it will fry the amp. So I was told... Monoprice still replaced it. Paid shipping too.

The prime elevations sound real good now. to bad i only have a 5 channel amp I have 4 prime elevation speakers.
I can get a outlaw 7 channel for about 800, or a pair of reference klipsch 600M for about 700 and just use amp
