Hey guys!? I was just curious Is there a big difference between Rotel/Parasound/ Monolith/Emotiva? Like would I be able to hear a difference between the 4?

I’m looking to pick a 5ch amp soon to go with LCR/ Surrounds?

The general gist of most replies here will be that if used within safe operating parameters for the Amps in question, there really should not be a difference in SQ.
Frankly, I don't want ANYTHING in my signal chain that will color the sound.
So if you were to sit in a DBT cycling through any/all of those, you should ideally not hear anything different, assuming all are level matched and operating within safe parameters.

Depending on your need and speed of purchase... I'd wait for holiday sales.
I got my outlaw Monoblocks for 1500 total for 5, shipped. I'd rather have 5 individual power supplies, than one big honkin box. YMMV

Though I've seen many reports of happy Emo customers, there is some question about their willingness to stand behind product once the warranty expires. (Just a heads up.)

I agree about the Outlaw monoblocks being a good option. However, should you prefer to have the 5 power amps in the same chassis, then the Monoprice Monolith 5x is IMO the one to get. It's often out of stock but it's worthwhile to be patient. That is also an amazing affordable product wit excellent performance and reliability. I recommend it without reservation.

Audiogon.com has an Outlaw 7500 amp up for sale. That's 5x200w @8ohm and 300w at 4ohm. Guy is asking $1050, but you could easily get it for less. Not a bad deal for a 5 channel.

Why should there be a difference in sound if two amplifiers, even with one Class AB and one good Class D amp both operating within their designed limits? There is no difference. One should be as acoustically transparent as the other.
