In my opinion the Cambridge Audio has the best build quality and specs, followed by the Yamaha. The Marantz seems like a gutless amp, you would be far better off with just about any mid range AVR (in terms of power output). So if they are in similar condition and for the same price, take the Cambridge, or the Yamaha.
I agree the Cambridge (and Azur) components are all built by the same factory in Nanjing, China. I have visited this factory many times, seeing Cambridge products on the production line. The factory is somewhat conservative, slow to adopt new technologies but does spend careful attention for traditional analog & digital designs. Also note that some years back this factory built about 80% of the NAD products. Today they build a lot of wireless z-wave and wifi products for the CEDIA home automation market segment.

Just my $0.02... ;)

Thank you for the info, I am biased anyway as I like my Cambridge Audio preamp, very well built and I like the volume control that uses relays, I don't mind hearing the clicking noise.:D I assume the integrated amp version would have the same feature.

We don't know how technical the OP is, it is possible that even if he googles the specs and technical reviews, he may not know which one is better in terms of specs, and/or bench test measurements if available. So I don't see a problem with his questions.

Ya know what’s funny mike, is whenever I read your posts, the voice in my head is from Troy, one of the guys on swamp people!!!

Autocorrect sux......
Never met the guy in person I watched his show a few times. I have been Alligator hunting but that was many many years ago and the guys I ran with where very Similar in nature to him. I’d never jump in the water’s. Thats mostly for the tv show. I never eaten gator or skinned one. I have cut the heads off. I don’t believe they show that on his tv show. Mostly the times I’d go out with the guys I ran with was at night. Which is outlaw hunting Illegal. Think head light hunting but in the water ways deep in the swamps of Louisiana. There are Critters out there that will eat you alive or bite you, will kill you before you can get to a Hospital. Think snakes, water moccasins big black nasty hunters of pray. About the only thing they will run from are the gators and people if your lucky they didn’t sneak up on you before you can hit a paddle in the water to run one off. Black Bears will Attack if you happen spook one with club’s. Wild Cats I call them, out and about sure. Bull Frogs the size of a gallon of milk. On the nights we wouldn’t run across any gators, we shoot Target practice just for the hell of it or smoke reefer drink a few cold brews. Sure we had two ice chest one for the Beers one for Sandwiches. The Whiskey guys would just keep their little bottle in their vest pocket. Some of those nights get really cold down in the swamps Foggy as sh$t sometimes so black you could have a white tee shirt on and not be two feet from the guy in front of you and you would have to turn you head light on the see him. There was this one time in dead winter late January we got hit by a Squall that’s a really bad storm that can come out of no where. So the two boats we where in rocking and roll, we stopped at a Camp site, didn’t know if someone was in it cause people do live out in the swamps you know. Well we docked up got out but before we docked up you better turn on every head light on, hit your hand horn a few times wait you wait some more, cause if you don’t and docked up and spook the one’s in their Champ you will get shot up. Anyways we took Shelter there tell the Storm blew over. Used the stove to heat up the Champ left at day light. We left 20O bucks under and note. People who don’t know the way of life deep in the South have this, A misconception of our way of life they think what they have seen or heard of Louisiana, that everyone runs Barefooted no shoes no Teeth in their mouth and Uneducated morons. No that Water Boy movie isn’t how people really are down in Louisiana. But some do really talk with a Accent you’ll never hear any where else in the world. Think Cajun, Creole two totally Different cultures but can be mixed.

Ok. That’s fair. I’ll admit, I haven’t been myself lately, or nice for that matter. What set me off was the dismissive, condescending way you approached gmoney and @Pogre. It seemed like you were attacking the forum or users for not having what you wanted. It’s not a database here.

Certainly something lost in translation perhaps....

We’re mostly all just regular guys, and may or may not have experience with the gear your asking about.
Just like how are any of us supposed to know you don’t have google? Same thing.

So. As I especially don’t want to alienate a newer member, I’ll extend an apology and leave you alone. Welcome to AH. There is a really diverse group of smart funny people here.

I would get a Yamaha. No surprise there from everyone who knows me. :D

Why? For now and until I feel differently, Yamaha might have the best reliability.

Others might think Marantz/Denon‘s reliability is just as good.

As for Sound Quality, in direct mode, I think they will all sound just as good as one another.
Andrew, I was really trying to help the OP by Not being Biased, of my Favorite Manufacturer of all audio gear Yamaha. :) We all have our BFG we love.

I'm getting a strong feeling of deja vu all over again.
I posted this because the OP, Trunksleo, has already been here (and on AVS) asking for advice. But he never likes the advice he's given, so he just keeps asking the same question, hoping somebody will give him an answer he likes instead of an answer that actually helps him.

See this thread for an example:
https://forums.audioholics.com/forums/threads/which-is-the-best-option-for-me.116576/

Note his strange setup ideas - using both a stereo receiver AND an AVR - and lack of focus on room and speaker placement.

@Beave, my post up about the “deja vu” isn’t a shot at you personally. Just happen to check out your profile and saw. “My friends call me Lord Hamlet.” which I had I Chuckled a little. My post is ment as a Complement for your insight.
Naw, it's "My friends call me Lord Helmet," not "Lord Hamlet!" Lord Helmet is apparently what this forum's software puts in place of "d!ckhead" when somebody uses that phrase, so that's where I got it from.

I remember that! He stopped replying when I suggested he focus on speakers! Tho what I should have said was placement and a good sub... lol

Yeah dude. You need to optimize what you have first. If you're dealing with poor placement and reflections then any new speakers are going to have the same issues. Beave gave you some suggestions, free ones and not too much trouble, and you immediately shot it down! The Yamaha Marantz setup you have going makes zero sense too.

I think you need to read up on how sound works in a room and understand how much speaker placement affects what you hear. Even the best speakers can be made to sound not so great with poor positioning. Also, I think the reason you prefer music without a subwoofer is because you've never heard a good one. The one you have now is mediocre at best. I wouldn't want it with music either... lol.

A good sub can really clean up a system. Your speakers aren't working as hard and can play louder with less distortion. It takes some stress off your amp, allowing it to run a little bit cooler. When I added actual good subs to my system I was shocked at how clean everything sounded. It all starts with proper placement and layout tho. You gotta find a happy medium between your room and speakers. You seem to be very interested in improving your sound, but you're going about it the wrong way...
