Hard to tell as any changes not measured on screen. Increased gain from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock with no change in db level. I understand most people like to run sub levels slightly hotter than 75db during cal.

Measured on screen? What does that mean? Why are you changing gain on the sub amp?

Audyssey SW Level Match requires adjusting trim so raising or lowering sub volume until slider (mobile app) or XT32 on-screen prompts.

I have two Denons, a 3808 (XT) and a 4520 (XT32/SubEQ) and an Onkyo with XT....I don't think I have SW Level Match particularly but I usually level match my subs by running each separately to the same value in the first place (so that summed they reach my target level, which is usually 78 or so)

Problem was a bad SW cable, replaced by a matching Mediabridge Ultra 15' cable. MultEQ ran fine configuring 2 subs this morning on 8 pt. calibration.

Looking back you mentioned you had a new cable, so it was that new one or an older one that was the issue?

It was an old subwoofer Monster Cable - that I've used since the days of my Paradigm PS 1000. POS!
Probably about ten years old, lol.

One of the few cable issues I've had is with a Monster sub cable....poor construction. Glad you got it figured out!
