Conflicting Crossover Info

I have a Sony SA-VS310 speaker system. The manual recommends setting the crossover frequency at 90Hz for the front, center, and surround speakers. However, those speakers have a frequency range of 130Hz to 70,000Hz. The subwoofer’s range is 30Hz to 200Hz. Isn’t 90Hz too low? Should I set the speakers above 130Hz?

Looking at the "operating instructions" I don't see that suggestion. Yeah, a higher crossover would likely be better, and likely higher than 130 but then the sub may not mesh well either. Just better to look for better speaker/sub set.

Thanks for the response. Here’s a

Oh it does say that, but without an explanation....or just suggesting that with this combo it's the best combination of potential issues :) ? Hard to know. Kinda like Bose with gaps between their "bass modules" and sat speakers. Just better alternatives than these "kits"
