HELP! With Primare and NAD

Greetings! It’s been a while since I’ve been on this forum, I own a Primare I 30 as well as a NAD 325BEE- here’s my issue: The only way to play any music through these units is to have the peripheral plugged in to the main in, and no other input. Meaning the only place where it will render any music is through a peripheral plugged in to the main
-in on each unit. When I do this, the only way to control the volume of the unit is by the respective app on my phone. What’s odd about this is the both amps are doing this. I tried to plug-in a separate CD player into the “CD“ input, nothing of each unit. This is happening on both amps. What’s even odde is that the Primare was used for probably 8 to 10 years and I only used NAD once or twice during that time - otherwise it was sitting in it’s box. Ironically this is happened to both units. Any ideas as to what maybe going on?? And just to review, I am putting my subwoofer into the preamp out. In both units, I can hear a little rumble of the subwoofer but zero output from the two mains. Thanks in advance !

Are you sure you have the I30? I downloaded the manual and don't see any "Main in". It has the tape in and tape out but definitely no main in. One thing you can try is, connect your cd player to the cd input and then if still no sound, then press the "monitor" button and see what happens.

The NAD 525 BEE does have the main in, but to use the regular inputs you must have the links (came with the unit) connected between the main ins and the pre-outs. If the links are there but still no sound, then same deal, press the "monitor" button in case it had been turned on accidentally.
