I installed 4 ceiling speakers (K1650C) in basement - and wires run into closet. I want to buy a receiver that the 4 wires will plug into that can be used (in a closed closet) with Amazon Alexa Dot (in open basement) to play music.

What should I be looking for in a receiver? Something in the $200-700 range ideally... just for music playing via Spotify. Thanks from 1st time poster

Almost any AVR with the Amazon Alexa feature set will work for this. Yamaha and Denon are two favorites around here...several option on this link.

Thank you for the advice. Another question: Since I have 4 in ceiling speakers with wires running to a closet, how does one plug in the 4 sets of wires? I assume I dont make one CENTER and another LEFT and so on, since I want good "all" sound coming out of all 4 speakers.
Guidance on this is appreciated. Thank you

Save your money and Go to Accessories4less (if you are in the US) and buy something like a Denon AVR-750H for $400. Connect to the two L&R Front Speakers, and the L&R Surround speakers. Set the receiver Multichannel Stereo. Even though your speakers are rated at 35 Watts RMS they are quite efficient (like almost all Klipsch) with a sensitivity of 91 dB. With the rest of your budget you should think of adding a Sub as the bottom end will probably be quite lacking.

PS - Make sure you've got good ventilation in your closet!

I hope this is helpful.

I’m in the process of buying ceiling speakers. How’s the sound quality on the Klipsch R1650C. Which one is better between R1650C and CS16C2 ? Thanks
