If your going to go with ONE, and possibly a second one, I think the sb3k might be the best choice. It seems like the biggest obstacle for you is size(and maybe still holding tight to the sealed is tighter thing). So despite my earlier suggestion(and Ryan’s) I am voting sb3k BUT keep in mind I’m saying that while thinking of the SVS app to help control it. I imagine you’d try it in the original location which as we’ve covered, need some dsp.

I noticed you mentioned the PC2k was too tall. Two of my subs are pc12pluses and are 39” high!!! Can’t even see em...lol
Just shot this as I was typing.
Why Bill, what PC12 Pluses? I don't see them. They seem to have just disappeared into the environment!

I could begrudgingly agree that an SB3000 would be a noticeable step up, but would insist on going with 2 of them.

Edit: oh yeah, for a sealed sub, the sb3k is actually one I’d consider. X4.....

That's a nice pic. Nice job putting it together. I love the plants. Really livens it up.
Lol. Thanks. Plants are all my wife. It’s her “home theater”. We usually consult each other on the others “theater” and how it will affect the other. Had some good bouts but I won’t give into waf, but do consider her thoughts. We usually meet somewhere just on her side of the middle. Lmao! She would say that same...

Wow. Just decorate with a ton of plants and cover all your speakers with ghillie suits! Ha ha!

I love the look on his face. In my mind the photographer is saying "Okay, now act like a subwoofer..."

That’s awesome!!! You might be surprised to know I wear a ghillie suit when I watch movies and listen to music. She has no idea where to find me! It’s great.

I'm picturing my towers covered in ghillie suits with only the speakers and tweeters exposed.
Lmao! A sweet new finish!!! Hey, we could go into business selling Ghillie speaker socks.

And don't forget going with dual subs that they wouldn't both have to be in the living room! I'm sure a second one would work outside the immediate room if it's still sharing the same space. Remember the balcony!
Right, I keep forgetting about that. I could very well end up with a sub in the hall upstairs! If it's going to be tall, then I'd prefer a box shape and forward firing considering my flimsy floor. And the PC2000 has a rear facing port, which wouldn't be good because I would want the sub pretty close to the wall. So....what about the Rythmik L22? Two 12" servo subs in a sealed 14"x16"x28" tall enclosure: http://www.rythmikaudio.com/L22.html

Almost had to drop a rainbow for that one, Bill... She knows where the sweet spot is, and she didn't put a plant there! :p

Funny, when I was shopping Subs, I called on Steve and Shady to help me out. Steve had a serious liking for me getting a s-quad of ULS-15s. The cabin gain from 4 of those in a small room would be ridiculous. I think he suggested I might see extension down to 10 in 2000'3, not to mention the SPL from putting 4 of those in my little space.

I bought my subs, though, not to be tailored for my small space, rather an 8000'3 room. Even though I'm in an 11x15' space, I don't feel crowded by my gear, 2 towers at 1'w x 2'd, and 2 subs at 17x23"... But then again, I also don't really have to share the room. :p And my aesthetic didn't really dominate the importance of the acoustics. ;)
I guess I'm just a Function-leads-Form kinda guy. :)

That looks like an option that might work.

The L22 has a small enough footprint that I could live with two of them if it comes to that. Dual 12's have 1.3 times the cone area of a single 15" and with only a 14"x16" footprint. If this is a viable option for me then it sounds like it is definitely worth trying. Also, only $800, which I like.

Hey, btw @mossman how’s the new surrounds? Lol
They sound great! Haha. I realize we're way off topic. Should I start a new thread?

Audyssey turns the surrounds up a little too loud, so I have to turn the levels down about 4dB to 5dB to get them to blend in better. Not sure why it's doing that.
