Actually I really enjoy the speakers. They're fantastic! I guess I was thinking that perhaps the Yamaha wasn't doing them "justice" I've always had the "hots" for McIntosh too. I was looking at the MA 352 and perhaps the smaller MA 252, but who knows.

They’re pricey but the Anthem STR products include their stellar room correction. The STR integrated gives you an xlnt DAC, 200 wpc amps and room correction. I learned about the importance of room correction the expensive way (by buying electronics without it) but now have their AVM60 processor for surround and their STR preamp for a 2 channel setup. The room correction is easily discernible and IMHO their best feature.
