Open plan living room home theatre?

I have an open plan living room,

I am not sure what to ask, watch a lot of movies and would like something bassy. Ideally in the future I want to connect it using Alexa as well!

Budget is ideally <£1k... low profile / slim / wireless options preferred

Should I be looking at only 2.1 as wires going around the room will look really bad?

Snap some pictures of your room from different spots and circle where you want your Display as well as where you would prefer your speakers and making suggestions becomes much easier!

Wifi is still not great for doing things... i'm afraid. but seems reasonable that you could put something together.
2.1 or better yet 3.1, at least. If you want great low end, maybe 2 subs. Its real easy to drive the cost up!

Definitely gotta give us some specs though... room size, volumetric is ideal (how much open space would a Sub be exposed to), as well as linear (how far from the speakers you might sit).

Do you do music too?

Do you have anything right now? AVR, Speakers, TV...
