Set-up 25 long x 20 wide room with 17 deg 11' high vaulted ceiling. Main listening point (MLP) is 4 foot off back wall
Denon x3500h
Definitive 12" pro-sub
Klipsch Reference RSX-5 Fronts 75w 3 feet from side wall
" RC-35 Center 125w
" RB-10 backs 50w in corner at 8" ceiling level angled to MLP
To be installed ...Micca ceiling speakers 5' in from side wall, 3" forward of and pointing at MLP (they have directional tweeters).
I ordered 2 Micca M-8Cs but I also received 2 M-6Cs. The M-8Cs are 100w 40kHz with 8" cone and the M-6C are 80w 50kHz with 6" cone.
So, now my question is are the 8" too large for my smallish other Klipsch speakers?
The tweeters appear to be the same, which brings up my other question of, for height speakers, do you set the cross-over to the woofer, since bass frequencies are so low placement does not matter (so I heard)? Or does the height speakers provide any valuable bass?
Thank you in advance for any help with my limited knowledge and opinions.
