Seriously, I have no life.
I don't know how wow it was if you re-read my text notice I said I used too? Not everybody can be Phil Ivey! Lol :p
I did read it that the job was in the past.;)
I didn't want to ask what you are doing today. Was it a well paying job, playing cards?

I do psychiatric nursing right now I work with our military units for active duty that are struggling with traumatic brain injuries PTSD substance abuse issues usually from meds given to them in the military to manage pain from combat injuries all related to trauma from combat or other situations while in active duty

My previous job poker did pay well. But you could never spend too much of it the swings in the game required you too be very disciplined with your bank roll and cash flow some of the best paying games in Texas were also underground at the time we didn't have the legit card houses we do know but like anything there's no free lunch I was playing at a game and we were robbed. They came in with guns tied us up but someone managed to somehow hide where they couldn't find them they called 911. there was a huge standoff the cops SWAT was involved we were hostages lasted about 2 or 3 hours till they talked the robbers down long story short that was my last game I ever played

Later I found a passion in healthcare after another bump in the road in life I had to overcome and I needed something to be passionate about like I did with cards.

So I came here and just fell in love with this crazy hobby of ours and I've been a hopeless audioholic ever since!

If it matters to you keep trudging onward, we all started somewhere in various states. Don't let other people live "rent free" in your head.

It's been a fun ride my friend I'm grateful for all of this wild and wacky and wonderful life God blessed me with. I wouldn't change anything the good and the bad.

And I think your a cool a@$! dude myself really enjoy our correspondence on this site looking forward to hosting you some day down here if your ever in San Antonio Texas

As far as poker being cool? Eh it becomes a nine to 5 like anything else when you stop playing it for fun. Playing for the milk money is a whole different feel to it. The only job I ever had where you can take your hard work and effort and just quadruple your paycheck so to speak in a session but also you can lose it all in one Damn bad suckout when some donky calls your pocket rockets down with 2 3 off suit. And runner runners you on the turn and river.

It's a hell of a rush but a hell of a low I really don't miss it and I'm grateful to be here with you guys on this site you guys woke that side of me up that only felt alive through cards. I'm grateful and love all the stuff we get into on this site about our hobby every day fellas
