Here are most recent pics of my system, mostly components from late 70's through 2000. OPPO 205 and Technics SL-1210 are exceptions, purchased within last two years. For the most part, I use Airport Express to listen to music in iTunes wirelessly, although the highest quality sound comes from my usb connection between laptop and OPPO up sampling to 24/192. Overall, I am completely satisfied. My pride and joy are the pair of Sony PCM-7010F Digital Audio Recorders. I purchased those back in the mid 90's for archiving radio commercials which my advertising agency produced for its clients. At that time, before mp3, I could access commercials with the 7010's and copy for broadcast in not much more time than the time frame of the commercial. Today these professional unit only have a few jobs, stripping DMR from digitally recorded streams, although I have not seen any need for that function; and, they are sometimes used to send DAT recordings to my laptop. Wish I had kept my older stuff. I used to have a Sansui G-33000, Pioneer Spec-1 and Spec-2. Some older Kenwood and Thorens tables. Bought most of it overseas in Okinawa when I was there back in 78 to 81.

The 590''s are too good. If they were wrapped in walnut veneer and had somewhat more elaborate drivers they would have cost you more than $3800 a pair, which JBL's new HDI 3600 series cost.
Tell you what I'm excited about that seriesif it's not a lateral move I'm definetly looking at them down the road in a couple years for my upgrade. But for a long while yet I really want to enjoy my 590's

Im on my phone using my internet browser. I don’t have tap to talk.
Can you see the sig for CB22, tho? It's really small even on a 17" screen....and I don't see signatures using Firefox and the regular website on my phone either.

Yeah, the JBL 590s for the mains and a KEF 650C for the center. Don't get me wrong, the KEF center holds it's own and matches the mains very well. I moved the KEF Q900s into the main room and put the JBL's on HT duty.

How do you feel about the KEF Q900s as compared to the 590?s Just out of curiosity if you don't mind me asking.

I absolutely love the 590s. A different animal so to speak. It could be more of the aesthetics but the JBLs seem more forceful, the KEFs a little more refined. I hope I don't sound like one of "those guys", lol. I prefer the 590s on the HT system more than the KEFs. When watching movies I usually listen at louder volumes than with music only. I feel like I can drive them harder without the risk. The KEFs are running on the main floor now more so for streaming music.

Man you sure can run them loud that is even in my back row of seating which is about 14 to 16 feet away the 3 590's I have sound so so good powerful clear and effortless at any volume level they're beasts but they are gorgeous on sound reproduction highs mids everything is superb.

Another uncanny ability of there's is the front row which is only 7 feet from them the volume doesnt drastically increase. They stay smooth with great imaging soundstage and volume level whether your up close or far away. Truly exceptional speakers
