My name is Lennon and a am from Lafayette, Louisiana. Good lord it has been so miserably hot outside it was almost unbearable. Today we finally got our first cool front and it is absolutely glorious outside. What does this say about me staying inside and finally joining Audioholics while it’s so beautiful outside? LOL

I know a little about hot weather myself and like you, it's finally starting to cool off a little bit here. Looking forward to some winter weather!

Thank you Pogre. I was beginning to think I did something wrong because no one said hi. LOL. I have been reading Audioholics for a long time and I know most of the people over here are very nice and helpful. It is around 75° outside and I feels wonderful.

We're still in the 90's here, but had one day where it stayed nice. Usually by December we'll start seeing numbers the blustery 40s.

So what kind of setup do you have? Plans on upgrading? Or was it my sparkling personality that finally won you over..?

I have a 5.2.2 setup . My receiver as of now is the first generation of Onkyo’s Atmos receives. It is the Onkyo tx-nr 838. It works and sounds great but I am wondering if I am missing out by not having the ability to do 5.2.4 and I also have no ability to do DTS -X. I’m very interested in a Denon Avr-x 4300/4400h. I’m mainly a movie guy so I believe I would benefit much by having the Newer surround format and upmixers. Your sparkling personality is just icing on the cake.

Welcome Cajun I too was a reader of this site for about 6 or 7 years before I signed up and I am glad I did. There a lot of nice knowledgeable people here.

lolzzzzz, with the cold front I completed my longest ever bike ride of 63 miles today. And welcome to AH.

Completely different for me here. I found it, read a few posts and joined immediately. I've successfully been a PITA ever since.

Different weather up here in the Northeast corner of the USA. It's been perfectly temperate. No high heat & humidity like you had, no snow (yet) like those in the northernmost parts of the Midwest, and no high winds and fire storms like those in southern CA. Grateful for this.
